The Grim Reaper has nearly attained “supporting character” status in GBK, due to the various ways in which I can spin off his disgust and seething hatred of Kitty, who always manages to push his buttons just so. I’m so enamored of him as a character that he will very likely become the star of his own spinoff webcomic (and that’s great for later merchandizing, because I think he’s in the public domain).
Pretty much every Reaper comic has been hilarious, so picking a winner was tough. But nearly everyone reacted strongly to this one, partially inspired by true events. I was originally going to leave the bowl pristine, as to imply that Kitty just didn’t flush. But it occurred to me... Maybe she really left a disaster in there. I kept drawing, and adding, and by the end of it all, I couldn’t even look at it without nearly gagging.
